For 100 years we have been helping children and young people to enjoy outdoor adventure. We are a Christian organisation passionate about developing young people, bringing adventure into learning in the outdoors to transform lives.
CORNWALL COUNTY PLAYING FIELDS ASSOCIATION began life in 1922 as a Christian holiday home under Belgrave Trust. Sunday school teachers from London decided to take children, who had never been on holiday, out of the city for a time of adventure at Belgrave House in Littlehampton.
The charity has evolved since then but has stayed true to that initial desire to help children to have fun, build self-confidence and enjoy new experiences. Since those early days we’ve grown to a nationwide organisation with four centres across the UK and we welcome over 60,000 visitors every year.
As we reflect on our achievements over the last 100 years, the centenary is also an opportunity to look to the future and continue our legacy.
